Am Wochenende vor dem Turnier in Zypern veranstaltet Berlin Backgammon ein Backgammon Festival. Es gibt Turniere, Mochy’s Quiz, ein Schau-Match und „Beat the Pro“!. Zusammen mit vielen anderen wird Mochy mitspielen und danach mit uns und unseren Gästen nach Zypern fliegen. Bis bald in Berlin!
Zeitplan:
Samstag, 27. Okt., Beginn 13:00 Uhr (Anmeldung ab 12:00 Uhr): Berliner Monatsturnier, letzter Jackpot für den Schaukampf gegen Mochy und das Gammoner-Board
Sonntag, 28. Okt., Beginn 12:30 (beachtet die Zeitumstellung!):
– Finalrunde der Jackpotsieger. Der Sieger erhält ein Gammoner-Board im Wert von rund 1300 EUR und tritt im Schaumatch gegen Mochy an.
– Schau-Match zwischen Mochy und dem Sieger des Turniers der Jackpot-Sieger
– Mochy’s Quiz (Siegprämie 50 EUR)
– Beat the Pro (Alle können Mochy herausfordern)

Abweichend von den Angaben in der Broschüre kann nur einer der beiden Sidepools gespielt werden (oder keiner). Side Pool I: EUR 35 (32+3), Side Pool II: EUR 100 (94+6).
The weekend before Cyprus there is a Backgammon Festival held in Berlin that includes tournaments, seminar, exhibition match and Beat the Pro! Among many others Mochy will attend this event, then fly to Cyprus with other Berliners and their guests. Hope to see you in Berlin!
Event schedule
27th, start at 1pm (registration from 12am): Berlin Monthly & last Jackpot for Sunday’s exhibition match against Mochy and the Gammoner-Board
28th, start at 12:30 am (observe the end of daylight saving time):
-Exhibition match between Mochy vs Winner of Jackpot series. (The winner of the Jackpot series wins a Gammoner board!)
-Quiz seminar by Mochy (50 EUR for the winner!)
-Beat the pro against Mochy (Anyone can challenge Mochy for money or fun or both)

Damit am Sonntag alle, die gegen Mochy antreten wollen, drankommen, wird Mochy wenn nötig an zwei Boards gleichzeitig spielen. Hier ist ein Beispiel.
To accomodate the great demand for matches, Mochy will play simultaneously at two boards on Sunday, if needed. See this example.

Letzte Bekanntmachungen / Last minute announcements
- Die beiden optionalen Side Pools werden nicht kumulativ (35 + 65), sondern exklusiv (35 oder 100) gespielt. The two optional side pools will not be played cumulatively (35 + 65), but exclusevily (either 35 or 100).
- Die Anmeldegbühr für das Monatsturnier am Samstag ist in beiden Klassen um 3 EUR erhöht (7 bzw 4 EUR). Mit den zusätzlichen Einnahmen stellt Sven eine Servicekraft ein, die einen noch besseren Service ermöglicht. The tournament registration fee on saturday is raised for both masters and beginners by 3 EUR. The additional proceeds will be used for improved service in our venue during the festival days.
- Der Eintritt für Besucher und Kiebitze kostet Samstag 10 EUR und Sonntag 10 EUR. Sonntag ist die Teilnahme am Quiz inbegriffen. Visitors and kiebitzers are kindly requested to pay a fee of 10 EUR each day. On Sunday the fee includes the entry to Mochy’s quiz.
- Parkplätze: Auf der Schönhauser Allee kosten sie am Samstag, wenn in der nahegelegenen Halle eine Veranstaltung ist, 3 EUR pro Stunde. In den Nebenstraßen ist’s billiger: 1 EUR pro Stunde. Kostenlose Parkplätze gibt es nördlich der Bornholmer Str. / Wisbyer Str. und östlich der Prenzlauer Allee. The cost of a parking lot might raise to 3€/hour in Schönhauser Allee on Saturday, parking lots in the sidestreets cost 1 €/hour. They’re free north of Bornholmer Str. / Wisbyer Str. and east of Prenzlauer Allee.
